This product is comparable to Optimum Nutrition’s protein powder, except we are using only whey protein isolate not concentrate and we are not using artificial sweeteners. Our product is more expensive to manufacture, healthier and we sell it for a lot less money. You can buy whey protein concentrates for less money, that is not the same product that we manufacture and sell to use with the Bountiful Breast pills. Women who have the best nutrition get the best results when using the Bountiful Breast pills. This protein is made as a service to our customers to make sure you get the best results.

  • What is the difference between your Whey Power Plus™ whey protein isolate and whey protein concentrate products?

Whey Power Plus contains whey protein isolate, which is the purest and most absorbable form of whey protein in existence. It is fat, lactose and cholesterol free. Whey Power Plus is cross-flow-micro-filtered, which is the cleanest processing technique, using no chemicals and no heat (as opposed to ion exchange processing, which uses both heat and chemicals), thereby producing whey protein that is highly undenatured, with almost 100% of all the whey sub-fractions intact, including the powerful immune booster lactoferrin. Whey protein is a cheaper product containing fat and casein. Whey protein which costs less money contains whey protein not whey protein isolate.

Our whey protein isolate protein power is available to the public at a discount in comparison to health food store prices as a service to our customers.
  • What is Whey Protein Isolate?

Whey protein and whey protein isolate are derived from the milk proteins of cows or goats during the cheese manufacturing process. Whey was originally used as an animal feed for many years. Veterinarians noticed the animals became healthier when they were fed whey, which led to research into the benefits of whey. In 1992, a process was developed that extracts the pure amino acids from milk proteins leaving behind all the sugar (lactose), fat, and cholesterol. What the nutritional scientists came up with is the purest, cleanest, most biologically available (most easily absorbed) source of protein in history. Whey protein isolate is the richest source of essential amino acids and branched-chain amino acids your body needs for growth and energy.

  • What is biologically available mean?

Biological value is a measurement of how efficiently a particular protein source is used by the body. Whey protein floods the body with amino acids, which are the building blocks in creating hormones, skin, hair, muscles, organs and blood. A high protein diet is a healthy and effective method for controlling obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

  • What are the Benefits of Whey Protein Isolate?

Research shows that whey protein has the following health benefits:

    • * Whey Protein Isolate stabilizes blood sugar and can prevent diabetes by slowing assimilation of carbohydrates into glucose in the blood stream.
    • * Reduces stress and alleviates depression by slowing production of the powerful stress hormone, cortisol, and promoting the release of seratonin, a calming neurotransmitter (brain chemical) ( Am J Clin Nutr June 2000)
    • * Promotes fat loss by enhancing the release of glucagon (builds muscle, burns fat) and inhibiting release of insulin (encourages fat storage).
    • * Builds muscle by stimulating maximum protein synthesis.
    • * Enhances your immune system by raising your body’s levels of glutathione, which is a powerful antioxidant produced by the body to protect cells and neutralize toxins. Whey raises glutathione levels more than any other protein . (Bounous G et al. Clin. Invest. Med. 1991) It also contains sub-fraction Lactoferrin, which is a powerful immune system booster and antioxidant. (Oram J et al. Biochem. Biophys. Acta. 1968; Bellamy W et al J. Appl. Bacteriol. 1992)
    • * Increases exercise capacity ( Lands et al. 1999 )
    • * Fights infections (Bounous G. et al. Clin. Invest. Med. 1988)
    • * Encourages bone growth helping to prevent osteoporosis (Toba Y, et al. J Appl Phys, 1999, Oct; 87(4))
    • * Fights cancer – (Baruchel S. et al. Anti-cancer Research 1996; Clin Invest. Med, 1988)
    • * Has the highest biological value (a measure of nitrogen retained for growth or maintenance) of any protein because it is absorbed, utilized and retained by the body better than other proteins. (Colker CM et al. Med. Sci. in Sports Exercise. 1998)
    • * May help lower triglycerides and cholesterol ( Zhang X Beynen AC. In: Br J Nutr (1993 Jul) 70(1):139-46
    • * May help prevent prostate cancer ( Toxicolgy In Vitro, Feb 2003)
    • * May help prevent chronic periodontal disease
  • Are there any side effects associated with whey protein isolate?

Whey protein increases glutathione levels in serum (blood) and liver. Glutathione is the body’s most powerful antioxidant and plays a key role in immune function. When liver glutathione levels rise, the liver is able to more effectively detoxify the body. Some people (especially those who have had a highly toxic diet, or exposed to high levels of environmental toxins) may have a mild temporary reaction to these mobilized toxins as the liver is removing them from storage in body fat. Whey protein isolate is composed of the same basic proteins that are found in human breast milk, and has the same side effect profile as human breast milk. Because it is a milk protein, people who are mildly allergic to milk proteins may experience minor gastric distress from whey protein. This gastric distress usually disappears if you reduce the dose. If you have serious milk protein allergy (which is very rare) you should not use whey isolate.

Note: Lactose intolerance is not a milk allergy.

  • Can I use whey protein isolate if I have kidney disease?

100% whey protein isolate is one of the most easily digested and most easily absorbed forms of protein available. It’s P.E.R. ( Protein Efficiency Ratio -a mark of the quality of a protein) is extremely high, and in conditions such as renal failure where protein intake must be limited, it is most prudent to consume the highest quality proteins such as whey protein isolate and egg white proteins, versus lower quality proteins such as red meat and dairy, that produce more problematic metabolic waste by-products and residues.

  • Can I use Whey Power Plus™ if I have celiac disease?

Yes, you can use Whey Power Plus™. Celiacs usually have problems ingesting wheat or gluten. There is no wheat or gluten in Whey Power Plus™ whey protein powder

  • Is whey protein isolate only for athletes and body builders?

No, whey protein isolate is the most easily absorbed, purest source of complete protein available, in a convenient powder that can be added to a variety of foods. It is so pure it is perfect for babies, as soon as they are weaned off the breast, growing children (it strengthens bones), teenagers (it helps prevent and treat ADD and ADHD), and adults (especially busy ones). Whey protein isolate is very easily absorbed, and helps build muscle mass, it is a powerful immune-booster, and helps prevent sickness and disease.

  • Will Whey protein isolate cause me to gain weight?

No, whey protein isolate is low in calories and high in nutritional value. Protein is essential to the synthesis of all the hormones your body manufactures.

  • I understand Whey Power Plus™ is NOT sweetened with sugars or artificial sweeteners. How do you make Whey Power Plus™ taste good?

The philosophy of Whey Power Plus™ dictates that we use no artificial sweeteners such as sucralose, saccharine, or Nutrasweet, as well we do not use natural sweeteners like fructose and sucrose which cause weight gain and negatively impact metabolic syndrome and other health conditions. In the naturally sweetened Whey Power Plus™ products we use only the beneficial sweetener stevia. Our natural protein flavors DO NOT contain MSG.

  • Will stevia have any effect on my insulin levels?

No, whey protein isolate is low in calories and high in nutritional value. Protein is essential to the synthesis of all the hormones your body manufactures.
